This is a perfect “shacket” to layer with in cooler weather. It is not a heavy, but it is quilted and comfortable and definitely qualifies as a “light jacket”. I was looking for something that resembled a Levi’s Depot Jacket or even a Carhartt Detroit Jacket – I wanted the look but not a heavy work jacket – and this honestly is about as close as you will find for the price point. I’m definitely pleased with the purchase and honestly considered getting one in another color. As far as sizing goes, I am 6″1″ and 250 so i’m definitly an XL guy and I wear this as the top layer of a henley and flannel button up combo and it doesn’t feel tight on me at all. I did order an XXL just in case I needed more space but the XL was just fine. I would say the XL looks slightly larger than fitted, and if you preferred a more generous but not HUGE size the 2XL would be ok also. I acutally struggled to decide which size I preferred. Exterior material isn’t what I would call a rugged canvas but instead is nice for a jacket for casual wear.
I’m not at all disappointed in the quality of this jacket and for the price I feel like a got a great deal!
